About the Hikvision AX Pro

The Hikvision AX Pro is a modern wireless alarm platform that integrates tightly with Hikvision's CCTV camera ecosystem. It uses an 868MHz Tri-X radio protocol for reliable wireless communication between sensors and the Hub, with dual-path connectivity via Ethernet and 4G cellular backup.

Unlike traditional alarm systems, the AX Pro is primarily app-controlled through Hik-Connect or managed through the Hik-ProConnect cloud platform for professionally monitored installations. The user manual below covers Hub operation, app setup, and day-to-day use.

Key Features of the Hikvision AX Pro

CCTV Integration

When a sensor triggers, the AX Pro can automatically start recording on linked Hikvision cameras and send snapshot images to your phone — combining alarm and CCTV in one system.

Dual-Path Communication

The Hub connects via Ethernet and 4G cellular backup. If your broadband fails, the system automatically switches to cellular to maintain monitoring connectivity.

868MHz Tri-X Radio

Hikvision's Tri-X protocol uses encrypted 868MHz communication — more reliable and longer range than Wi-Fi based systems, with anti-jamming detection built in.

App & Keypad Control

Control your system from anywhere via the Hik-Connect app or locally via the AX Pro touchscreen keypad. Multiple arming modes — Away, Stay, and Schedule arming.

No Wiring Required

All sensors communicate wirelessly with the Hub — no data cabling through walls. The Hub requires a power connection and Ethernet (or 4G SIM for cellular-only installations).

Professional Monitoring Ready

The AX Pro supports Hik-ProConnect for professional central station monitoring — compatible with Australian monitoring stations for 24/7 emergency response.

Common AX Pro Questions

Hub Shows Offline

Check your Ethernet cable and router connection. If Ethernet is working, restart the Hub by unplugging power for 10 seconds. If the 4G backup has kicked in, check SIM card status in the app.

Sensor Not Connecting

If a wireless sensor shows as offline in the app, check the sensor battery and re-enrol the device through the Hub configuration menu. RF interference can occasionally cause connection drops.

App Not Receiving Alerts

Push notification issues are usually related to phone notification settings or app permissions. Check that background refresh is enabled for Hik-Connect on your device.

Camera Integration Not Working

CCTV-to-alarm linkage requires both devices to be on the same Hik-Connect account and correctly configured in the event linkage settings. Our technicians can set this up during installation or a service visit.
