Common DSC Alarm Issues

Trouble Light On

Press * then 2 on your DSC keypad to scroll through active trouble conditions. The most common are AC power failure, low battery, and zone tamper.

Keypad Beeping Continuously

Enter your access code to silence a beeping DSC keypad, then view the trouble list to identify the fault. A fault that keeps returning needs a technician.

Low Battery (batt)

DSC panels use a 12V backup battery. The 'batt' trouble code appears when it drops below threshold. Most batteries last 3–5 years. We can replace it on site.

FC / Phone Fault

The FC (failure to communicate) code appears when the panel cannot reach the monitoring station. This may be a phone line, broadband, or GSM communicator issue.
