About the Ajax Alarm System
Ajax Systems is a modern, fully wireless alarm platform that uses its own encrypted radio protocol (Jeweller) rather than Wi-Fi. The Ajax Hub is the central panel that connects to the cloud via Ethernet and cellular backup. All sensors — motion detectors, door contacts, sirens — communicate wirelessly to the Hub and are managed entirely through the Ajax app.
Unlike traditional alarm systems, Ajax has no traditional keypad interface — control is primarily through the app, with optional KeyPad and key fob accessories. The user manual below covers Hub setup, app operation, and day-to-day use.

Additional Ajax Device Manuals
Each Ajax device (MotionCam, DoorProtect, FireProtect, StreetSiren, KeyPad, SpaceControl) has its own quick-start guide available from the Ajax Systems website. If you need a specific device manual, call us and we can assist.

Common Ajax Alarm Questions
Hub Offline Notification
If you receive an "Ajax Hub offline" notification, first check your router and internet connection. If internet is working, the Hub may need a restart — power cycle it and check the app.
Sensor Low Battery
The Ajax app shows battery status for every device. Sensor batteries are CR123A lithium cells available from most electronics stores. We can replace them during a service visit if needed.
Lost App Access
If you have lost access to your Ajax app account or need to transfer system ownership to a new phone, contact us — we can reconfigure app access on site.
False Motion Alerts
Frequent false motion alerts from Ajax MotionCam detectors are usually caused by incorrect mounting angle, pets, or HVAC airflow. Our technicians can adjust or relocate sensors to eliminate false triggers.
