A standard commercial IP intercom is designed for office doors and apartment buildings. The ambient noise assumption is 40-50dB — the background noise level of a quiet indoor space. The Turbine identifies the frequency signature and combustion cycle rhythm of diesel engines and actively removes that noise from the audio stream. This is not passive amplification — it's active subtraction of the noise before it reaches the far end.
