Get Your Security System Stable Again

Paradox panels -- the EVO series, Spectra SP and Magellan MG -- are common across Perth homes and businesses. If your system is beeping, showing a trouble code, or has stopped communicating with a monitoring centre, we diagnose the cause on-site.

We work across all current Paradox panel families. Power supply faults, battery failures, zone wiring issues, keypad comms faults and reporting path errors are all within scope.

For security reasons we do not publish programming steps or reset procedures online. Call us for safe assistance and an on-site booking.

Prefer a quick answer? Call 0413 346 978 or send a message with your suburb and a photo of the keypad/handset if available.

Who This Is For

If any of these sound like your situation, we can help with a proper diagnosis and a clear next step.

βœ“ Homes and businesses with a Paradox EVO, Spectra SP or Magellan MG panel
βœ“ Properties where the keypad is beeping or showing a trouble or fault code
βœ“ Sites with comms failures or reporting errors to a monitoring centre
βœ“ Buildings where nuisance alarms are causing problems
βœ“ Anyone who has bought a property with an existing Paradox system installed
βœ“ Sites that need a service check without knowing which Paradox model they have

How It Works

1

Identify Your Panel

We confirm the Paradox model (EVO, SP or MG) and firmware version before touching programming.

2

Diagnose On-Site

We test power, battery, keypads, zones, outputs and comms to find the root cause -- not just clear the fault code.

3

Repair & Confirm

We fix the identified fault, confirm stable operation, and walk through what was found and what was done.

Also Known As

Homeowners and techs may refer to this system using different names. If any of these look familiar, you’re in the right place:

  • Paradox EVO
  • Paradox Spectra SP
  • Paradox Magellan MG
  • Paradox alarm
  • Hardwired alarm

Common Issues We Attend

Beeping / Trouble

Warning tones, trouble indicators, and faults that won’t clear

πŸ”‹

Battery & Power

Backup battery end-of-life, power supply issues and charging faults

πŸ”

Keypad Problems

Keypads not responding, display issues, incorrect status or intermittent operation

πŸ“‘

Zone / Sensor Faults

🚨

False / Nuisance Alarms

Unexpected activations, after-hours alarms and unstable triggers

What We Do (Proper Diagnosis, No Guesswork)

We don’t publish step-by-step reset/programming guidance online. We identify the root cause with proper testing, then confirm the safest path forward.

Diagnostics & Checks

  • βœ“ Panel status, logs and fault indicators
  • βœ“ Mains supply, power supply health, charging and backup battery condition
  • βœ“ Keypad operation, bus/data integrity and device stability
  • βœ“ Zone stability testing (sensors, wiring, tampers, EOL/DEOL where applicable)
  • βœ“ Siren/strobe operation and tamper integrity
  • βœ“ Communications path (monitoring/IP/GSM/dialler) and reporting stability

Typical Outcomes

  • βœ“ Stop nuisance beeping and clear trouble conditions correctly
  • βœ“ Replace failed batteries/components where required
  • βœ“ Stabilise problematic zones (sensor/wiring/tamper related)
  • βœ“ Restore reliable arming/disarming and correct system status
  • βœ“ Resolve comms faults impacting monitoring or remote access
  • βœ“ Advise on repair vs upgrade when the platform is end-of-life

FAQs

My Paradox keypad is beeping constantly -- what does that mean?

A constant or repeated beep on a Paradox keypad typically indicates an active trouble condition -- low battery, AC power loss, tamper on a device, zone fault, or a comms error to a monitoring centre. The keypad display or LED pattern tells you which zone or condition is flagged. If you cannot identify or clear the trouble code yourself, we can diagnose it on-site.

Do you need the installer code to service a Paradox alarm?

For most diagnostic and repair work -- sensor testing, zone checks, power and battery assessment -- we do not need the installer code. For programming changes (adding zones, changing reporting, modifying output logic) we do need installer-level access. If the installer code has been lost, there are panel-specific reset procedures that we handle on-site under secure conditions. We do not publish these steps publicly.

What is the difference between Paradox EVO, SP and MG panels?

The EVO series is Paradox's larger commercial platform, supporting more zones, more keypads, and more complex reporting configurations. The Spectra SP series is a mid-range residential and light commercial panel. The Magellan MG series uses wireless zone architecture. All three share the same Paradox programming environment but have different hardware capabilities and expansion limits. We work across all three.

My Paradox panel shows a comms failure -- is that serious?

A comms failure means the panel cannot reach its reporting destination -- typically a monitoring centre, an IP reporting server, or a dialler path. The alarm will still sound locally, but events may not be reported. We check the reporting path (PSTN, IP, cellular backup), the receiver configuration, and whether the fault is on the panel side or the network/line side. Most comms faults are diagnosed and resolved on a single visit.

Do you cover Perth Metro?

Yes. We service Perth Metro suburbs daily. If you’re unsure, send your suburb via the contact form and we’ll confirm availability.

Can you help with systems installed by another company?

Yes. We can usually diagnose and service existing systems regardless of who originally installed them, as long as the system can be worked on safely and legally.

Can you email me reset or programming steps?

No. For security reasons we don’t publish or send sensitive reset/programming steps. We can help you safely by phone and attend on-site if required.

How does booking work?

Call or submit the form with the brand/model (if known), symptoms and suburb. We’ll confirm the safest next step and book a technician if required.
